It blew earlier and longer today than yesterday and Saturday. Also harder, and just as gusty/holey, one of those days when any sail size will work some of the time. I rigged a 7.5, then a 6.0, then a 5.3, and got rides on each. Possibly the season finale for me; if so, it was a fine ending to a season made memorable by the emergence of DC as a major Utah kiteboarding venue.

I AGREE. DC was good to me this FALL season. As a kiter, I would advise other darksiders to ONLY give DC a look in the FALL or at least only when the water level is low, and then only launch close to the Island. Launching where the windsurfers launch, west of the boat ramp or at sailboat beach is sketchy at best. DC's gusty conditions make for some very scary launches. Also, in motorhead season, way to many people to get tangled in our kite lines. It seems to me, that after Labor Day, DC really comes into it's own as a kiting venue.

I may have one or two more penguin episodes left in me so I'm not ready to call it, just yet. ULSSB is calling my name around 12:00pm today. Anyone else interested?

Billy,

How was your trip did you run into anymore snow????

I found a sweet spot up Gannett Pk. its between Crowheart and Pinedale, WY. It was sweet 6 inches of fresh on a 2-3 inch base, kited above the clouds....

Im heading back up there mid-Dec. If any one wants to ride a long.
