Just enought wind to make it happen, Very tough to move in the......VERY DEEP FREASH!!!! Although almost all of the water on the res. is still well water. The land is covered with plenty of snow. Rode 2 spots with my dogs. And a few snowmobilers.

Nice, I was wondering how Strawbs had set up with all the new snow. Have you had a chance to bust out the rails yet? Curious to see what you think of set up and tear down...ie. easy or hard

The rail is easy to transport/set up and easy to ride on. The 20 foot rail is almost too short because you slide off quick. Have you bust out your rail yet?

No, too busy trying to kite in any free moment, haven't had time to trailer up and set up, nor needed yet, the fresh pow is plenty of stoke for me at the moment. Wasn't enough snow last week to set anything up...but too much now

So how many people and how long did it take to set up the 20 footer? Where did you ride it at, was it flat or steep? What did the riders think of that slider top style? Hope they are stoked as that is the design we all went with.

I'm glad I got a 16 footer, any longer seems pretty crazy to deal with by myself... this one long and heavy as it is. But I'm stoked to connect it with others for an endless slider trail thru the baron snow covered wastelands we call home. HA!

I didn't pay attention on how long it took to set it up because we were too excited to slide it. I would say no longer then 15 mins on each set up as long as you have two people to help you.

We set it on both flat and steep. The rider were having so much fun on it. It was easy for them to slide it and no one got hurt on it. Yea, they were very stoked with the designed.

Just howler me when you want to set your rail up. We could connect your 16ft to our rails. we could have 36 ft flat jib rail. Would that be awesome?

The rail was sick, I think you will like your length, Jake is great slider so he always wants more. I would like to slide them both also though. We sessioned the rail with the liquid force team and everyone had rail experance. Well except me. I can see how at the pro level the rail is little, but to a begginer it is scary still. It moves across the snow well once you flip it over and we towed it behind a sled with some on riding on the rail. We also just pushed it to set up on a frozen lake.

Nice, Good to hear... I'll let you know, maybe next week when I'm in town we can set up where ever looks better for Snow.

Off to Island Park for the Intermountain Round-up this weekend, sounds like the first time that the 4 state crews will rally together in IP for Snowkite sessions. Ya'll should bring your rails up there!

I'm sure it will not be a problem at all. Marty has a can of spray paint so he'll just spray over the bestkiteboarding logos then put Ozone stickers over it. Ha ha

NOT........I'd put http://www.batteryspecialists.com stickers on it.....

But isn't it private property where the kite spot is.
Wouldn't that make for a little problem to put the sliders out.

Not a problem at all, I have plenty of 10 foot long Ozone banners and Dakine banners that we can hang all along the rail. Probably even enough banners to cover both sides. So no worries on that. :mrgreen:

The major factor with the rails is taking them down daily, as they can not be left over night... don't want a high speed sled running into them in the dark.

Snowy roads, so don't know how trucking with a trailer will be... I'm looking at not trailering myself.

I cracked my screen swatting that damn fly!! :lol:

Regarding rails, this is the first snowkite 'event' at IP and we are treading new waters... it is probably better to leave any insurance liabilities at home... and make use of the natural snow and features. Building kickers is totally acceptable, but we don't want this weekend to set off the wrong impression of why most people travel to IP to snowkite (its not the rails, its the powder). And if by chance someone got injured on a man made device, it may not send the right impression to the local community.

With that said, the locals are psyched to see Snowkiters attending in force, and they are hoping to create an annual early season rally to keep us coming back. Its always different on 'event' days when a lot of media is watching us..better safe than sorry. I'm leaving my rail behind.
