Snow Kite lessons??

Postby mike rossberg » Mon Dec 10, 2007 12:24 pm

I've been getting calls from my old Talon Sport links about snow kite lessons? My teachings days are only reserved for my kids now.

Please reply with your teaching info and will be glad to post these references to interested people.

Thanks,

Mike Rossberg

Just be sure not to use the term 'water-start' in your lessons... or any other term that the boys from Real Kiteboarding may have used in one of the long and boring videos they produced.

So far they have sent summons to nearly every known kite school in the country. Their plan is to sue and destroy their competition, rather than do a better job at it.

Just a heads up for all instructors, thanks to Real we now need to be conscious of our words, or they will happily sue you.

Good news is they are kitesurfers not snowkiters and they don't make a snow instruction video, so they can't sue or claim something they don't do. So Snowkite Instructors are safe from their legal BS for the moment.

Rumor I hear from other Manufacturers is that the industry is boycotting Real, and we should too.
Food for thought, I hope the rumors are not true, sad if it is.

Brian-
I think they actually do teach snowkiting through instructors in Colorado any some spots out East. Sad indeed.

Want to watch something really sad try, The Real Instruction Videos. Every step has one of the lame narrators reading some cheesy intros.

HUH?! That is lame. So, Brian, who again are the "real Kiteboarders"?
Man, I tell ya, common sense is a rare commodity these days. Once again I suggest they read a book called, "The Death Of Common Sense; How Law is Suffocating America" by Phillip K. Howard.
