Arrived at 8 AM to 10 - 15 mph wind, blue skies and sunshine. Pulled out the SA and went up the hill. Dropped the kite to straighten a line, thought I was all ready to go, up went the kite and another tangled line. Put it down and secured down one end (my mistake was not to secure down the entire kite). The other end flopped in the wind and created a nice bridle tangle. Spent an hour sorted out the tangle in 0 degree weather. Finally got the kite in the air. After that it was all fun with the wind picking up to 15-20. Wind was SW all day which is not the best direction for gliding off Bosco, but we still had some good glides. At one time we even had some traffic congestion as Jake, Billy, Ryan, Mark, and I were trying to glide in the same general area. I rode back to the launching area and watched as Jake and Billy demonstrated some very nice technique. Jake did some double kiteloops which were sweet. Clouds rolled in around 1 PM and the wind lightened back to 10-15.

It was a good day to put the Manta II 15M up against the Speed 2 15M. I will outline my thoughts in another post.

Lots of smiles, 10 - 15 kiters a few new riders and some out of towners. Christy Bordy impressed us all with her upwind riding skills and putting up with Billy antics in his amazing one-piece. There was no rail so Billy sessioned a gas can. Guess you would have to have been there to understand, but he gave us all a good laugh with unhooked belly slides and kiteloops.

Rode until 4 PM. Glad I have today off to recover.

Don't forget how great the snow was. It was soft and sweet.
