Remarkably steady 10-20mph NE wind this afternoon, something you almost never see in the summer. The water level appears to be slowly rising, but there's still a huge area of snow-covered lake bottom, much of which is entirely free of exposed vegetation. Walking out, the snow seemed a bit crusty, but it turned out to be quite easy to ski on.

I did kite, but I used an 8m, which was, of course, way too small much of the time; I parked in the big turn-out on the lake side of Hwy 189 and walked down the rocks.
