3/21/08 Strawbs 11m foil

We rode from what im guessing was around 1:00 to 4:30 . At first the snow was a bit hard but it softened up a bit as the day went on. If you stay far out on the lake in the untracked stuff it was good. Then we decided to do a downwinder to the cabins. This was awesome and made for one of the best days I have had on the snow! Tons of terrain lots of kiter friends and a steady wind! The wind petered out as we returned by car to Chicken Creek.

Yea, watched from the hills as ya all disappeared over the horizon. Looked like the start of an enduro race. I looked across the road, far to the NE and saw a lone kiter way up high on the ridges. Figured it was Chasta. I was tired, so I packed up. Drove up to the road and watched an AMAZING kiting show for almost an hour. Better than the videos, very wide screen edition. Once he vanished over a huge ridgeline cornice. and about 10 min later appeared down low. Talked to him later and he said he just packed it up and snowboarded down the back side, in deep powder, rigged up at the bottom and went back up again. WOW (only in my dreams).
