DC Jim went the full route, rigged I think from 5.3 to 9.5. Carl thought it was steady, then again a 9.0 w/ Isonic 133 and arms of steel will make DC submit some planers. The Dubockian Trifecta threw all we had at Carl, we were more than one cam short and alas, human.
Our lame game plan was to throw a new Gaastra 7.5 w/ Hypersonic with the fearless uber twin, Trevor. Hoping Carl would slow down to see his reflection in that sail. HyperTrevor is young and will someday learn to pump. but he had at least 4 side to side runs of note. Its one thing to hike Alta's Main Chute and ski the same run as Carl, its another to get caught in the jetwash from Mr. BC at DC.
We disguised Troy in a Gath helmet and a massive, beater, stealth 8.5, thinking that would blanket Carl. He just created his own wake, a mini Miss Budweiser speedboat. Thank god Carl has a muffler on his hull. He's NASCAR and we're Destruction Derby and stuck in reverse.
Someday I hope Trevor and Troy will be sailing DC in 2050 and tell some punk "ya know you aren't fast, nor smooth and you can't touch the mileage of a DC Jim nor the wave slap of Big Carl..".
